What is Pradaxa?
Pradaxa, also known as Dabigatran, is a blood thinner manufactured by Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals, Inc. It is used to prevent blood clots and strokes in persons with atrial fibrillation, a form of irregular heartbeat. Pradaxa is also known as Pradax in Canada and Prazaxa in Japan.
